SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN School Location: Sheffield Pay: £95-£120 per day Contract: Full-time | Term-time Tradewind Recruitment are seeking caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Sheffield, supporting young people with severe and complex learning difficulties, autism, communication needs and additional physical or sensory needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference, helping pupils develop their independence, communication and life skills in a supportive learning environment. The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex SEN. Supporting classroom learning and individualised activities. Encouraging communication, independence and personal development. Supporting emotional regulation, wellbeing and positive behaviour. Assisting with daily routines, feeding and personal care where required. Working closely with teachers and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs. Personal care is an expected part of this role, including supporting pupils with personal hygiene and daily living needs. Don't worry if you haven't received personal care training before, as training can be provided to help you carry out these responsibilities confidently and appropriately. Who We're Looking For We welcome applications from candidates with experience in SEN, care, healthcare, residential support or similar settings. You should be patient, compassionate, reliable and comfortable supporting young people with complex needs. Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential if you have relevant transferable skills. Pay - £95-£120 Per Day Your daily rate will depend on your relevant experience, qualifications and suitability for the role. To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale, relevant experience and full-time availability will be particularly beneficial.
