Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking passionate and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a network of specialist SEN schools in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by providing tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings. You will work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and other learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The Role
- Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs
- Deliver and support small group interventions and classroom activities
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
- Support students’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development
- Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN in an educational setting
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
