Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive school in Sheffield that is seeking an experienced HLTA or Lead Practitioner to lead a small in-school SEMH hub provision on a part-time, afternoon basis.
This role is suited to a confident and skilled practitioner who has previous experience running or leading a nurture group, SEND hub, or specialist provision for pupils with SEMH needs.
The Role
- Take day-to-day responsibility for an established SEMH hub provision
- Work with a small group of approximately 6 pupils
- Be supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant
- Lead structured, therapeutic and nurturing activities tailored to pupils' needs
- Undertake planning and preparation (time built into working hours)
- Provide consistency and stability - the school is seeking the same practitioner every day
Direct pupil time:
Approximately 1:00pm - 3:20pm
Additional time either side allocated for planning and preparation
The Ideal Candidate
- HLTA status or equivalent Lead Practitioner qualification
- Proven experience leading an in-school SEND / SEMH provision (essential)
- Strong behaviour management and relational practice skills
- Confident supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Able to commit to daily afternoons on an ongoing basis
