Hours: Approx. 12:45pm - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive school in Sheffield that is seeking an experienced HLTA or Lead Practitioner to lead a small in-school SEMH hub provision on a part-time, afternoon basis.

This role is suited to a confident and skilled practitioner who has previous experience running or leading a nurture group, SEND hub, or specialist provision for pupils with SEMH needs.

The Role

  • Take day-to-day responsibility for an established SEMH hub provision
  • Work with a small group of approximately 6 pupils
  • Be supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant
  • Lead structured, therapeutic and nurturing activities tailored to pupils' needs
  • Undertake planning and preparation (time built into working hours)
  • Provide consistency and stability - the school is seeking the same practitioner every day

Direct pupil time:

Approximately 1:00pm - 3:20pm

Additional time either side allocated for planning and preparation

The Ideal Candidate

  • HLTA status or equivalent Lead Practitioner qualification
  • Proven experience leading an in-school SEND / SEMH provision (essential)
  • Strong behaviour management and relational practice skills
  • Confident supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Able to commit to daily afternoons on an ongoing basis
