Graduate Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools & Academies

Locations: South Yorkshire (Doncaster) and Chesterfield

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: £460 - £650 per week / £95 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time and Part-time roles available

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classrooms of up to 30 students in the absence of their regular teacher. You are not expected to plan or mark lessons; instead, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned work across various subjects, from English and Maths to PE and Drama.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a productive and safe learning environment.
  • Support students with their tasks, answering questions and keeping them on track.
  • Liaise with school staff to provide feedback on student progress and behaviour during the day.
