We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate SENDCO to join a dedicated Secondary AP setting in Sheffield from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional to take on a key leadership position within a supportive and forward-thinking alternative provision environment.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision, ensuring students with additional needs receive the support and guidance required to succeed both academically and personally.

The Role:

  • Lead and oversee SEND provision across the school
  • Coordinate EHCPs, interventions, and provision mapping effectively
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams, parents, and external agencies
  • Provide guidance and training to staff around inclusive practice and SEND strategies
  • Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate support is in place
  • Ensure compliance with current SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities
