Pay: £95-£120 per day (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school that is part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This is a full-time role where you will work closely with pupils who require high levels of support throughout the school day.
You will help students access learning, encourage independence and provide personal care where required, while working alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals in a highly supportive environment.
The Role
- Support pupils with PMLD, SLD and other complex learning needs.
- Assist with personalised learning activities tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
- Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks where required.
- Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex SEND, PMLD or SLD.
- Experience providing personal care is desirable.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Full-time availability.
- Pay Information
- The daily rate for this role ranges from £95-£120 per day.
- To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale: Previous relevant experience supporting pupils with complex SEND is essential.
- Full-time availability is required.
- Final pay rate will also be dependent on the school's allocated budget and your level of experience.
