About the Role:

As the Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the overall financial management of the school, ensuring its financial stability, efficiency, and compliance. You will work closely with the Head Teacher, school business manager, and other senior leaders, providing essential financial support and overseeing various financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing aspects of the school's financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school's annual budget.
  • Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and data for management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, statutory requirements, and school policies.
  • Supporting payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to employment law.
  • Liaising with external auditors and other financial stakeholders as required.
  • Maintaining robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard school funds.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records and systems.
  • Contributing to the efficient financial operations of the school.

About You:

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive finance professional with a proven track record in financial administration or a similar finance role. Experience within a school environment is essential. You will be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
