SEND Teaching Assistant - EYFS

Overview

SEND Teaching Assistant – EYFS, Tower Hamlets, East London. Full-Time | September 2026 – July 2027. £100 daily paid PAYE. Help young children thrive from the very beginning. The role is with a welcoming and inclusive Early Years setting in Tower Hamlets, recruited on behalf of the school to support children with additional needs for the full academic year.

Responsibilities

• Support children both individually and in small groups within the EYFS provision, focusing on a range of additional learning needs.
• Encourage communication, social interaction and emotional development.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised support strategies.
• Promote independence through play-based learning and daily routines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Help to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within an Early Years setting.
• Patient, compassionate and enthusiastic approach.
• Understanding of inclusive practice and the importance of supporting all learners.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children and colleagues.
• Commitment to supporting children to achieve their individual goals.
• Willingness to commit to the full academic year.
