Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The role:
Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
Supporting pupils both academically and emotionally to help them access the curriculum
Working closely with class teachers, SENDCOs, and other support staff
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning outcomes
We\’re looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)
Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the xiskglj update service
