The Role
In this role, you will be the "right hand" to a student with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum safely and confidently. You will work within a supportive team in Coventry, focusing on removing barriers to learning and celebrating every milestone.
- Position: 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant
- Location: Coventry
- Pay: 90 - 100 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Personalised Support: Deliver 1-1 assistance tailored to the student's specific EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Class Teacher and SENDCo to track progress and adapt learning materials.
- Inclusive Environment: Help foster a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere.
- Behavioral Support: Use de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement to manage complex needs.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (ASC, ADHDH, or SLD) is highly preferred.
- Communication: A compassionate nature and the ability to build quick rapport with students.
- Qualifications: Relevant TA qualifications (Level 2 or 3) are a plus, but a "can-do" attitude and relevant experience are essential.
- Compliance: You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
