Special Needs Assistant
Location: Barnet Borough, East Barnet, North London.
Start date: Late September of the new academic year.
Overview
Sanza Teaching is partnering with a lovely, oversubscribed 2‑form entry primary school in East Barnet, North London, to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Work with a child who will be starting at the school from the end of September/beginning of October.
- The child has complex special needs, including autism, and is non‑verbal.
- Provide individual and classroom support as required.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff, parents and other stakeholders.
- Work full‑time, Monday to Friday, academic year, 8:15am – 3:45pm.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a primary school with children with special needs.
- Knowledge of PECS and Makaton is highly desirable.
- Patience, calmness and adaptability.
- Strong communication skills and accurate record‑keeping.
Remuneration
Salary: £95‑100 per day, depending on experience.
