SEN Teaching Assistant - St Helens Secondary Schools Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support students across a number of secondary schools in St Helens.
We work with partner schools that regularly require dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term, temporary and daily supply opportunities throughout the academic year.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs and helping every student achieve their potential within an inclusive school environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties
- Other additional educational needs
Responsibilities may include
- Providing one-to-one support for individual students
- Supporting small group interventions
- Adapting learning resources to meet individual needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
