This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, behavioural needs, or additional support needs
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain professional in challenging situations
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
