Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's education? A welcoming and supportive primary school in DE55 is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide full-time support to a lovely Year 5 pupil. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and emotionally within a nurturing school environment.
The Role
- Provide dedicated support to a Year 5 pupil throughout the school day.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs.
- Encourage participation and engagement in lessons.
- Support social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Is patient, nurturing and resilient.
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Has a positive and proactive attitude.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification (desirable).
