Overview
Seeking a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Barnet from September. The role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD, Autism, and Global Developmental Delay, who will be transitioning from Year4 to Year5.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide structured, consistent 1:1 support to the pupil throughout the school day.
- Assist with behaviour management, classroom engagement and regulation strategies.
- Support the pupil’s progress in learning objectives and social development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team to plan and implement tailored learning activities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with parents and colleagues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism, and Global Developmental Delay.
- Patient, nurturing and resilient with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Confidence in implementing behaviour strategies and adapting learning plans.
- Team player who works well with a welcoming and collaborative staff team.
