A welcoming and inclusive special school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
Our school provides specialist education for pupils within KS1-KS3 with a range of moderate and complex learning difficulties. They pride themselves on a warm, nurturing, and inclusive ethos, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning and creating a safe environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
The Role
- Experienced in supporting children with SEND
- Flexible and confident in adapting to a variety of needs and routines
- Proactive, using initiative to support learning in the classroom
- Based locally in the Walsall area or able to commute easily
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with severe and complex needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with individualised learning activities
- Supporting pupils with communication, engagement, and personal development
- Helping to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
Working Pattern
This position is offered on a daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. There are also opportunities for longer-term placements, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both pupils and staff.
