About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Knowsley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in class and through targeted interventions
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering inclusive lessons
- Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
- Help to create a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate
- Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and team-working skills
- The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) is desirable
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
