SEN Teaching Assistant – Chatham
Full‑time – £88.94 – £100 per day – January 2026 (temp‑to‑perm)

Role

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across the Chatham area starting January 2026. The role will involve 1:1 and small group support for children with autism, ADHD, global delay, speech and language, SEMH and behavioural needs. You will assess progress and collaborate with teachers, parents/carers and external agencies where necessary. CPD will be provided through our partnership with the National College.

Requirements

  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or LSA would be highly desirable.
  • Holding an L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational, pastoral or personal setting.
  • Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS via the update service.
