Tradewind Recruitment is working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Merton to appoint an experienced SEND Teacher for their well-established Autism Resource Base, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver meaningful, personalised teaching to a small group of pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, within a calm, structured, and well-supported setting.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons using structured approaches such as TEACCH, PECS, and visual supports.
  • Lead a small class with the support of skilled LSAs, working closely with the SENCO and therapy teams.
  • Promote communication, independence, and emotional regulation, while supporting EHCP targets and academic progress.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEND, ideally in an ASC or resource base setting.
  • Confident using autism-specific strategies and managing sensory and communication needs.
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.
