The predicted salary is between 13 - 15 £ per hour.

Do you have the resilience and empathy to support a child in need of a consistent, positive role model? You will be working 1:1 to provide a stable and nurturing environment, helping this student navigate the school day. Because of the nature of trauma and SEMH, we are looking for someone who understands that "all behaviour is communication." You will be responsible for implementing tailored support strategies, de-escalating challenging moments, and fostering an environment where the pupil feels safe to learn.

Role Overview

  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • Duration: Long term - term time temporary.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (30-minute lunch break).
  • Location: Blackpool (Central).
  • Pay: £13.68 - £14.68.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 emotional and academic support.
  • Use trauma-informed approaches to manage dysregulation and promote positive behaviour.
  • Build a trusting, professional relationship with the student to increase classroom engagement.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor progress and well-being.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that prioritises the student's mental health.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has proven experience supporting children with SEMH, ADHD, or Trauma-related needs.
  • Remains calm, patient, and resilient under pressure.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and an adaptable nature.
  • Is reliable and committed to the consistency this student requires.
  • Holds a relevant TA qualification or has significant experience in a similar setting (e.g., youth work, residential care, or SEN schooling).
