SEMH Teaching Assistant Required - Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. We are currently working with a supportive and inclusive school in Clacton-on-Sea seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships within education. The school is particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience supporting children with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, Dyslexia, and sensory processing difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils as needed
- Encourage children to achieve goals they once thought were out of reach
- Build strong and positive relationships with pupils
- Support children with additional needs and contribute to a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
