The school is a welcoming and forward-thinking SEN school that provides a nurturing, inclusive environment for students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, MLD, SEMH, and other learning differences. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable Design and Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team.
About the Role
- Deliver creative, practical, and differentiated D&T lessons tailored to individual student needs and EHCP targets.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging workshop environment where students can explore a range of materials and tools confidently.
- Promote students' independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills through innovative project-based learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of our Design and Technology provision.
About You
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and has experience teaching D&T.
- Has experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEN.
- Is skilled in adapting lessons and resources to meet a variety of learning needs and abilities.
- Has excellent communication, resilience, and relationship-building skills.
- Brings creativity, energy, and a growth mindset to their teaching practice.
