Do you have the resilience, empathy and confidence to support students who need a calm, consistent and encouraging presence? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Humanities Teacher who'd be interested in working in an SEMH school in Willenhall. This role will run until the end of the term, with the opportunity to be extended.

About the Role:

  • Support students with SEMH, both in and out of the classroom
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
  • Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
  • Access to a Vehicle
  • Be able to deliver Humanities to functional skills level 1/2 and to GCSE

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH (school, alternative provisions, youth work, mentoring or similar)
  • Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour management techniques
