Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a short-term teaching opportunity in Southport? Tradewind Education is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to provide full-time cover at a welcoming secondary school in Southport for approximately two weeks, while a member of staff is away on jury service.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher, ECT or qualified teacher looking for a short-term role with an immediate start.
The Role
- Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
- Follow existing schemes of work and lesson plans where provided.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess pupil understanding and provide appropriate feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
- Ensure continuity of learning throughout the short-term absence.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or equivalent teaching status.
- Has experience teaching Maths within a secondary school.
- Is confident teaching across KS3 and KS4.
- Has strong classroom management skills.
- Can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils.
- Is reliable, adaptable and able to start at short notice.
- ECTs with appropriate experience are welcome to apply.
