Are you an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant looking for your next long-term role? Do you enjoy supporting young people across KS3 and KS4 and making a real impact in the classroom? Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming and well-regarded secondary schools in Finchley that are seeking Experienced Secondary Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident TA to support teaching and learning across the secondary curriculum.
Role Overview
As an Experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils in lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, and Science
- Working 1:1 and with small groups to raise attainment and build confidence
- Supporting students with SEN and additional learning needs
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and behaviour support
- Helping students stay engaged, focused, and on task in lessons
- Supporting with interventions, homework, and exam preparation
- Supervising students during lessons, breaktimes, or when required
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Secondary Teaching Assistant
- Confidence supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Experience working with SEN is highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A calm, proactive, and supportive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
