Experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant - Finchley - ASAP Start - Full-Time

Role Overview

As an Experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils in lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, and Science
  • Working 1:1 and with small groups to raise attainment and build confidence
  • Supporting students with SEN and additional learning needs
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and behaviour support
  • Helping students stay engaged, focused, and on task in lessons
  • Supporting with interventions, homework, and exam preparation
  • Supervising students during lessons, breaktimes, or when required
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Secondary Teaching Assistant
  • Confidence supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Experience working with SEN is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A calm, proactive, and supportive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
