Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a supportive and well-resourced secondary school in Hounslow who are seeking a motivated Science Technician to join their team for a September 2026 start. This is a great opportunity to work in a positive school environment where students are encouraged to engage with practical science learning. The school is recognised for its strong pastoral support and well-equipped science facilities for pupils aged 11-16. Staff work closely together to provide engaging lessons and practical opportunities, while leadership prioritise staff wellbeing and professional growth.

The Role

You will support the science department by preparing equipment and materials, assisting teachers during practical lessons, and ensuring laboratories remain safe and organised. This is a full-time role working 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and setting up laboratory materials and equipment
  • Supporting practical science lessons and classroom demonstrations
  • Cleaning and maintaining laboratory apparatus and workspaces
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring safe storage of chemicals and resources
