About the Role:
Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials to support science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Set up and clear away experiments, ensuring all health and safety protocols are rigorously followed
Manage and organise science resources, maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies as necessary
Assist teaching staff with the delivery of practical activities, including demonstrating correct use of equipment when required
Support the upkeep of a safe and efficient laboratory environment, complying with all relevant safety legislation and school policies
Help maintain accurate records of equipment and chemicals in line with regulatory standards
Contribute to the smooth running of science department activities and special projects
We\'re Looking For:
Previous experience as a science technician or similar practical support role, ideally within an educational setting
Good understanding of health and safety requirements in science labs, including COSHH and risk assessments
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
A practical, hands-on approach and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with teaching staff and other support teams
A science qualification or technical training is desirable but not essential
