Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a client SEN school for an experienced School Cook to join their team on a contract basis.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Cambridge

Contract: Contract / Ongoing (depending on school requirements)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals tailored to pupils within an SEN setting
  • Catering for a range of dietary requirements, allergies, and specialist needs
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Managing food preparation, stock control, and portion management
  • Ensuring all meals are prepared in line with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
  • Working calmly and efficiently within a school environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a school or SEN setting
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (or above) - essential
  • HACCP trained - essential
  • Strong understanding of food safety and allergen regulations
  • Patient, reliable, and well organised
