Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for primary schools based in South Liverpool, who are looking for reliable and committed Caretakers to join their team from September 2025.\\n\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with maintenance or facilities experience who is passionate about helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment for children and staff.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nOpening and securing the school premises, including during holiday periods and events (split shifts may be required)\\n\\nConducting routine maintenance, repairs, and general DIY tasks\\n\\nSupporting cleaning operations and monitoring site cleanliness\\n\\nMaintaining outdoor areas and ensuring safe access during adverse weather\\n\\nManaging waste and recycling in line with school procedures\\n\\nEnsuring health and safety standards are met throughout the school site\\n\\nLiaising with contractors and supporting the delivery and setup of equipment\\n\\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:\\n\\nPrevious experience in a similar caretaking, facilities, or site management role\\n\\nA sound understanding of health and safety practices\\n\\nStrong practical skills and the ability to use initiative\\n\\nFlexibility and reliability, with a willingness to adapt to the needs of the school\\n\\nAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply through Tradewind Recruitment\\n\\nWhat Tradewind Offers:\\n\\nCompetitive hourly pay\\n\\nA dedicated, experienced consultant to support your placement\\n\\nAccess to training and development opportunities\\n\\nPotential for the role to become permanent\\n\\nEither apply today or send over your CV to Oli at (url removed)
