We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants for a range of primary schools across Salford and Manchester. With day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities available, supply work offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to choose the days and types of roles that work best for you. Candidate Requirements
- Previous school-based experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar
- Experience within a children's home, PRU or specialist provision
- EYFS practitioners
- Foster carers, and complex needs support workers
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Candidates with a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in education, childcare or a related field
- Candidates with Team Teach or similar behaviour management training
Responsibilities
- Support teachers with the delivery of engaging learning activities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support, including for pupils with SEND
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence
- Adapt support to meet individual pupils' needs
- Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
