Tradewind Manchester are supporting a two-form entry primary school based in Salford to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to work in their resource provision. It is a temporary position starting ASAP but could lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This is a role working with 13 KS2 children who have been diagnosed with Autism, so you must have a passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs. You will work alongside the SENCO and the teacher in the provision to meet the needs of the children. Consistency for the children is key, so you must be able to commit full time. You will also help these pupils transition to mainstream lessons when needed.

A successful candidate must be:

  • Dedicated, resilient and proactive
  • Ideally have a TA2 or TA3 qualification
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
  • Already have or be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
