We are recruiting on behalf of a special needs secondary school in Salford for a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role would suit someone calm, resilient, and confident in building positive relationships with young people who require consistent emotional and behavioural support.

About the Role

  • Working closely with one pupil, supporting them throughout the school day to:
  • Access learning in and out of the classroom
  • Develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Build trust, confidence, and engagement with education
  • Follow personalised behaviour and support plans
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or emotional needs (school, PRU, or care background desirable)
