Tradewind are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Salford on a full-time basis from the end of May. You will take full responsibility for an EYFS class, covering until the end of the academic year. This well-established school sits at the heart of its local community and is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.

The Early Years provision is a key strength, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning, early language development, and engaging indoor and outdoor environments that promote curiosity and independence. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching within EYFS, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
  • Confidence in delivering phonics (experience with programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle is desirable)
  • A nurturing, inclusive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • A passion for play-based and outdoor learning
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Essential requirements:

  • QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Recent experience teaching in EYFS, supported by strong references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
