SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary (KS2 / Year 6)

Β£90 - Β£110 per day | Full-time (5 days per week) | St Albans, Hertfordshire

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis in a 2-form entry mainstream primary school based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

This role is within a Year 6 (KS2) class and involves providing targeted support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:

  • One pupil with Global Developmental Delay, ASD, ADHD and childhood trauma
  • Additional pupils with ASD, ADHD and working memory difficulties

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation, helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.

The role:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)
  • Year 6 / KS2 mainstream classroom
  • 2-form entry primary school
  • Full-time: 5 days per week
  • Daily rate: Β£90 - Β£110, depending on experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD and trauma-informed approaches desirable)
  • Be patient, nurturing and resilient
  • Be confident supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Have a positive and proactive approach to behaviour and learning support
