Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Pupil Referral Service (PRS) in Rochdale to recruit a PE Supply Teacher for a long-term temporary role, covering an extended absence. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist who enjoys smaller class sizes, active and engaging lessons, and making a real impact with KS3-KS4 learners in an alternative provision setting. The school has a predominantly male cohort, so a male role model would be beneficial, although this is not essential.
The Role
- Teach PE across KS3-KS4, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and wellbeing
- Deliver a broad and engaging PE curriculum, including practical sports and fitness-based learning
- Encourage participation, resilience, and positive behaviour through sport
- Work with small groups in a supportive, relationship-focused environment
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and disrupted education backgrounds
You'll Need
- QTS or QTLS
- Recent experience teaching PE to pupils aged 10-16
- Confidence delivering a range of sports and physical activities
- Strong classroom and behaviour management with a consistent, calm approach
- Experience in PRS, PRU or SEMH settings is desirable but not essential
