Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school across Retford? Or do you have relevant experience working with children and want to build a rewarding career supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and development?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. Roles may involve general classroom support, one-to-one work, small-group interventions or supporting pupils with additional needs. We are looking for full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants, with daily supply, short-term and long-term opportunities available.
Responsibilities- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce classroom learning
- Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
- Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting activities where required
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting teachers with learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, independence and engagement
- Providing pastoral support and helping pupils manage their emotions appropriately
- Following school safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies
- Previous experience working with children within a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered
- A patient, positive and proactive approach to supporting children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and additional needs
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
- Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
- Right to work in the UK
