Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Huntingdon that are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated graduate teaching assistants. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced teachers, support pupils in their learning, and build the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in education. Whether you are hoping to become a primary Teacher, Educational Psychologist, SEN Specialist or pursue another career working with children, this position provides an excellent foundation.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Working one to one and with small intervention groups to help children achieve their learning goals
  • Assisting class teachers with lesson preparations and classroom activities
  • Encouraging children's confidence, independence and engagement with learning
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where appropriate
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents to support children's overall development

About You

  • Hold a degree (2:2 or above) in any subject
  • Have a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning
  • Be enthusiastic, patient and eager to develop within an educational setting
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Have an interest in progressing into teaching or another education-related career
