Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, or someone with a genuine passion for supporting young learners? Do you enjoy helping children develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and confidence? Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury, who are seeking a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
The Role
- Supporting the class teacher within a KS1 classroom
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to support phonics, reading, and maths
- Assisting with classroom routines and positive behaviour management
- Helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils' social and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with primary-aged children (school or childcare setting)
- A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
- Confidence supporting early learning and phonics
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability for a long-term role
