SEN Coordinator – Primary School, Chesterfield Position: SEN Coordinator Location: Chesterfield Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday Contract: Fixed Term, January 2024 – July 2025 We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Coordinator to join our vibrant primary school in Chesterfield. This is a primarily non-teaching role focused on leading our Integrated Resource Unit and ensuring that all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Manage the Integrated Resource Unit, including overseeing Teaching Assistants (TAs) and teaching staff. Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND. Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality provision. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN strategies across the school. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contribute to EHCP reviews and documentation.Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience in managing SEND provision (applications from ECTs with relevant SEN experience are welcome). Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage staff and liaise with stakeholders.
