Job Opportunity: Construction & Design Technology Teacher

Location: Secondary Schools & Academies, Rotherham

Start Date: Immediate (January 2026)

Contract: Part-Time (2 days per week)

Salary: £168.80 - £262 per day (Paid to scale from Day 1)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Construction and Design Technology Teacher to support various secondary schools and academies across Rotherham. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity starting immediately for 2 days a week through the remainder of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality Construction and DT lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a safe and engaging workshop environment focusing on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
  • Plan and deliver creative lessons that inspire students to excel in technical subjects.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Design Technology or Construction in a UK secondary setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student safety in workshop environments.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
