Job Description

Psychology Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for enthusiastic and skilled Psychology Lecturer to work with an exceptional College in Hull, on a full time (35 hour per week) basis. This booking is to start on the 3rd November and will finish initially on the 19th December – with subject to increase in the future. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £35 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

The College is located centrally in Hull, and is extremely easy to access via public transport from all areas of the city, or from outside of the city on the train. Parking is available, with limited spaces, but a large car park is nearby which always has ample spaces and is easy to access. The college has a strong social sciences department and you will be joining a department with a strong sense of vision and energy.

You will be responsible for delivering BTEC Level 2 and 3 Psychology, and there may be some overlap with other social sciences if you have the ability to teach/deliver more than one social sciences subject. Planning and marking is expected with this role, but planning requirements will be minimal because of the amount of panning already on file.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Has a PGCE or similar teaching qualification
  • Has a relevant Level 3 + qualification in Psychology or a related subject
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
