Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Tradewind is currently recruiting a Progress Mentor to join a forward-thinking secondary school, providing targeted academic, pastoral, and behavioural support to help students thrive.
About the Role:
As a Progress Mentor, you will work closely with pastoral leaders and classroom staff to support students who need additional guidance with their attainment, engagement, and wellbeing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, building confidence, and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring for students identified as requiring extra support
- Monitoring academic progress and attendance, setting achievable goals with students
- Supporting behaviour for learning, emotional wellbeing, and pastoral needs
- Liaising with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies
- Delivering intervention sessions to improve motivation, resilience, and study skills
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to student support plans
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in an educational, mentoring, or youth work setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A calm and patient approach to mentoring
