We are seeking experienced and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support classes and pupils with additional support needs in North Liverpool based primary schools.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support for pupils either individually or in groups.
- Support the activities of individuals or groups of children and participate in their education, including contributing to their health and well-being.
- Support children with special needs, as appropriate; including:
- Sensory and/or physical impairment
- Cognition or learning difficulties
- Behavioural, emotional and social development needs
- Communication and interaction difficulties
- Provide support for learning activities by:
- supporting the teacher in planning and evaluation of learning activities
- supporting the delivery of learning activities
- organising effective learning environments and maintaining appropriate records
- supporting literacy and numeracy activities in the classroom
- maintaining pupil safety and security
- contributing to management of pupil behaviour: promoting school policies and implementing strategies to manage behaviour
- undertaking routine marking in line with school policy
- Provide support to colleagues.
- Develop own effectiveness in a support role.
- Support the use of information and communication technology in the classroom.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a similar role.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas police clearance (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
