Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of an excellent primary school in St Albans, Hertfordshire, to appoint a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) from September 2025 until the end of the academic year.
This welcoming and inclusive school caters for pupils aged Nursery through to Year 6, and is known for its supportive staff team and strong focus on pupil wellbeing and academic progress.
The successful candidate will work full-time (Monday to Friday) in KS1, providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in ensuring children are fully included in classroom learning and receive the targeted support they need to thrive.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have recent experience working in Key Stage 1
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN strategies and approaches
- Be caring, patient, and able to build positive relationships with children
- Be reliable, adaptable, and a proactive team player
- Ideally hold a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (not essential with the right experience)
