Tradewind Recruitment are working with an inner-city Birmingham school who are recruiting for an Experienced KS2 Teacher, with an English Lead. The school is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of their pupils so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. They believe every pupil should be able to participate in all school activities in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from harm. This is the responsibility of every adult employed by, or invited to deliver services at, this school.
This role would be for the full academic year with the possibility of temp to perm for the right candidate. It is absolutely essential that the right candidate has experience teaching in KS2 and has previously held an English Lead position. The successful candidate will likely teach in Year 3 or 4 alongside the English Lead responsibility, but year group is negotiable.
Requirements for this role:
- To be able to collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, such as extracurricular activities, school events, and parental engagement programs.
- To engage in continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches.
- To contribute to the wider school community and actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school improvement activities.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a PGCE.
- Have proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Be passionate about education and dedicated to providing a high-quality learning experience for all students.
- Have prior experience as an English lead.
This role is paid in line with main pay scale with TLR.
