Tradewind are currently recruiting an outstanding Primary teacher for a very popular oversubscribed Primary school in Chorley. The role is a long-term temporary position starting in October and running for the full academic year until July 2026.

This 1 form entry Primary School places a great deal of emphasis on friendship, compassion, respect and perseverance. It is passionate about providing pupils with the skills and enthusiasm for Secondary School and offers a nurturing multi-faith environment. The school provides a safe, happy and well-disciplined learning environment and has a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Responsibilities

  • You shall be responsible for a Year 3 class of up to 29 mixed-ability pupils and will have a supportive and experienced Teaching Assistant in class and a 1-1 Teaching Assistant.
  • You will be required to plan, deliver and assess work in line with the National Curriculum and be happy to participate in Parents Evenings, sports days and school trips.

The school is located on the outskirts of Chorley and is easily accessible by car with close links to the M61 motorway; there is a large free car park on site. The school is also accessible via public transport and has a bus stop directly in front of the school.

Essential requirements

  • The ideal candidate for this Year 3 Teacher role will be a qualified teacher with QTS.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Develop good relationships with students to ensure they have every learning opportunity.
  • Offer a range of exciting, diverse lessons that all students can access.
  • Have high expectations of pupils in both learning and behaviour.
