Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Are you an experienced Play Leader looking for a role in a primary school? We are seeking an experienced and passionate Play Leader for one of our North Liverpool based primary schools.

Responsibilities

  • Activity Planning and Implementation: Developing and leading a variety of age-appropriate games, sports, arts and crafts, and other activities that encourage physical activity, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Child Supervision and Safety: Ensuring the physical safety and well-being of all children in the program, adhering to safety regulations, and responding to any accidents or emergencies.
  • Positive Interaction and Role Modelling: Building positive relationships with children, providing guidance and support, and acting as a positive role model for behaviour and social skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicating effectively with parents or guardians about their child\\\’s experiences in the program and collaborating with other staff members to ensure a smooth and cohesive program.
  • Administrative Tasks: Preparing and maintaining activity areas, managing equipment and resources, and potentially assisting with snack service and other administrative duties.

Essential Skills and Qualities

  • Creativity and Enthusiasm: The ability to develop and lead engaging activities that appeal to a range of children.
  • Patience and Empathy: A genuine interest in working with children and the ability to understand and respond to their individual needs.
  • Organisational Skills: The ability to plan and prepare activities, manage resources, and maintain a safe and organised environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork Skills: The ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the program.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for making a difference in children\\\’s lives
  • Previous experience in a school or child-centred setting

To join us and be successful in this role you will need

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Minimum level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification
  • An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
