Salary: £95.89 - £115.89 per day Dependent on Experience

Contract: Full-Time (5 Days per Week)

Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)

The school supports a diverse range of special educational needs, spanning from Moderate to Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD/PMLD), alongside Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex physical or communication needs.

Key Responsibilities as an SEN TA:
  • Provide high-quality, tailored support to pupils aged 3-19 across various key stages (from Early Years foundational skills through to Further Education and life skills).
  • Assist with a wide spectrum of needs, helping students navigate learning obstacles related to ASC, speech and language, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.
  • Promote independence, self-discipline, and vital "learning to learn" skills to prepare young people for adulthood.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of specialist teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a safe, supportive, and active learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and sensory diets with the utmost dignity and respect.

  • Experience: Proven experience working with children or young people with complex SEND (such as MLD, SLD, PMLD, or Autism).
  • Qualifications/Skills: Knowledge of positive behaviour support, alternative communication systems (e.g., PECS, Makaton), or moving and handling is highly desirable.

  • Availability: Ability to commit to a full-time schedule, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
