Supporting children and young adults aged 10 to 19 years old, this role is vital in helping students with complex emotional and behavioural needs overcome barriers, re-engage with learning, and successfully transition into adulthood.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Building trusting, professional relationships to guide students through personal development and emotional regulation.
  • Supporting older pupils (up to age 19) with vocational pathways, life skills, and post-16 transition planning.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external agencies to track progress.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or working within a special school / AP setting.
  • High emotional resilience, patience, and exceptional de-escalation skills.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to process a new one via PAYE).
