Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and highly regarded primary school in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, to recruit a caring and dedicated KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a fantastic opportunity to provide tailored one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The role is part-time, working mornings only (5 days per week) from September (or sooner for the successful candidate). There is the possibility for the position to increase to full-time hours from January, depending on the needs of the pupil and the school. The contract is offered on a minimum one-year basis, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff from April for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2
- Be confident providing one-to-one support to pupils with additional learning or emotional needs
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver targeted support
- Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to helping every child succeed
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent experience are required for this role
